Google, Qualcomm, Microsoft, IBM, and Nvidia Attend the AI Technologies and Trends Workshop in Taipei Hosted by Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA

With AI (Artificial Intelligence) becoming increasely pervasive these days, Taiwan's IDB (Industrial Development Bureau) of MOEA (Ministry of Economic Affairs) is committed to helping address the increasing needs from the industry and the market, and therefore has commissioned the III (Institute for Information Industry) to organize keynotes and a panel session for the AI Technologies and Trends Workshop held in Taipei on May 10.
Stimulating input came from five keynote speakers: Dave Elliott, Global Product Lead of Google, Davis Chen, Director of Technology of Qualcomm, Mars Hsu, Executive of Cloud Business Units of IBM Taiwan, Cathy Yeh, Principal PM Manager of Microsoft Cloud & Enterprise Product Group, and Tom Lin, Senior Director of Sales of Nvidia, who mapped out the road to the development of AI, and expounded the opportunities and challenges for AI. General Director Victor Tsan and Director Chris Hung of MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute) of III also shared the institute's latest research results and their point of views on AI. Other participants include ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), ASUS, Compal, Wistron, LiteOn, VIA, Systex, Cyberon, and TCIT, just to name a few. Several companies had booths to demonstrate their latest AI products and services such as Pepper.
